From the minute you walk in you treated to a wonderful experience. The ambiance is so relaxing, clean, mood lighting and friendly staff. Our server Simon was amazing. So pleasant to talk to, made wonderful suggestions and was very attentive. You must try the Hong Kong coffee. My date said no more Starbucks, this is the place for coffee. The food was made to order and completely authentic. This place is now my "go to" spot.

One of the many Chinese options available in Castro Valley. Slightly small front parking lot but they have overflow parking in the back. I come here regularly and will probably come here a lot more given the food is cheaper than Hong Kong bbq and pretty much the same quality. Recently ordered the beef fried rice and curry beef stew. The beef stew was super tender, soft, and flavorful. Great service and ambiance.

We had Mongolian beef Ginger fried rice Vegetable hot and sour soup Pork pot stickers I think what impressed me the most was how well the food reheated. Very friendly service and I would definitely return. It's my favorite American Chinese food in the CV area

I've been coming to Silver Spoon pretty much since I moved to Castro Valley. It's become my spot for both grabbing a quick bite to go and sitting down for a meal. Parking is pretty straightforward since they share a lot with the restaurant next door and have a few extra spots out back. The place has a nice waiting area where you can hang out if you're picking up an order. Simon, the guy who usually runs the front, has offered a drink if your order's taking a bit longer, from time to time. Inside, the dining room's got a nice vibe and sometimes, there's even live music, which is a cool touch. What's neat about this place is that they actually serve soup to your table, which is a nice change from the serve-yourself style I see most places. It's also got a bit of an upscale feel with white tablecloths, which isn't something you see a lot in Castro Valley. You've got to check out their clay pot dishes. Whether it's the beef or the seafood, they're both fantastic and have me coming back again and again. Big fan.

Delicious! And made without MSG! Ordered MuShu Pork, egg flower soup, tomato beef chow fun, salt and pepper fish. Simon asked us if we wanted extra peppers in our salt and pepper fish and I told him we were trying to avoid to much salt so he limited the salt on all our food. And it all came out perfectly seasoned for us! Simon was very attentive and made sure everything was good. Our favorite Chinese restaurant! Can't wait to come back!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! The food is always delicious and the staff are great! Everything I've ordered has been so good and doesn't disappoint. The food is fresh, flavorful and such a gem! Highly recommend stopping in! I'm used to getting good Chinese food all over SF and this is my go-to when I'm in the east bay. They have a small parking lot, too so it's great for indoor and takeout.

We came here years ago and apparently, I didn't get a chance to do a review! We needed to find a place that was centrally located to our extended family members, where there was parking and near our daughter's bakery so we decided to meet here for a Chinese New Year luncheon. Parking is ample and there are spaces in the back of the restaurant as well. Everyone got a chance to order one of their favorite dishes and we had an assortment of food which were all tasty and delish! I especially liked the crispy fried chicken wings and sweet and sour pork spareribs! It was great to see our relatives and a enjoy a delicious lunch together! Simon, the owner and Andy, our server were attentive and friendly!
